Biella 

Biella located between Milan and Turin, a unique place which wins great prestige in China in the fabric, clothing, woolen-sector and noble yarns sectors, it is also famous for its highly developed textile machinery. since long time ago Biella is not a strange name for Chinese industrial people since lots of textile machines were imported from this Italian province.

On November of 2002, MECEC organized entrepreneurs form Suzhou City of Jiangsu Province and Shaoxing City of Zejiang Province  to visit Biella. Biella Industry Association and Chamber of Commerce of Biella received the MECEC delegation and arranged a Sino- Italy Business Meeting on Textile and Apparel sectors. Face-to-face business talks started at 11:30 and lasted one and a half hour. 16 entrepreneurs from Biella and 19 from China found their interested partner according to the meeting arrangement schedule. Most of the participants are from textile and textile machinery fields.

Factory visit activities were arranged in the afternoon. Three groups of Chinese entrepreneurs visited 7 Italian factories respectively.
