Augsburg |
Founded
in 15 BC as Augusta Vindelicorum by two stepsons of Augustus,
Augsburg is one of the oldest in Germany. It has long been a
leading center for new technologies: for example, Rudolf Diesel
invented the engine which has put his name into languages all round
the world.

In
June 2000, MECEC led the entrepreneurs from Huaiying,
Qingdao and Jiaonan to visit Augsburg by the
invitation of IHK Augsburg. The host organized a
well-prepared Sino-Germany Business Meeting. After the
meeting the delegation also visited the largest waste
processing factory in Europe and the publishing house
of Augsburg Daily. The mayor of Augsburg also received
the delegation in the Municipal Hall. |
