	MECEC has kept long term good relationship with Icep Portugal - Investment, Trade and Tourism Office. Its headquarter locates in Lisbon of Portugal.

In June 1998, MECEC delegation visited Lisbon by the invitation of ICEP and attended the Expo Exhibition hosted by ICEP. During the visitation ICEP and MECEC set up the fundamental for long term cooperation for promoting the business relationship between Portugal and China.

ICEP invited MECEC to Lisbon on 1999 again. During the visit Chuanzhou City has present a seminar.

General Rocha Vieira	Accepted the Honored Chairman Title	Business Meeting 2002
In November of 2002, once again ICEP invited MECEC delegation to make a visitation to Lisbon. ICEP and Portuguesa CCI, Camara de Comercio e Industria de Portugal, co-organized a Sino- Portugal Business Meeting. And a welcome Banquet was held in Hotel Mundial in honor of the Chinese Delegation by George Olvares Fundation. The ex-Governor and Consultant of the previous Portugese government, General Rocha Vieira was delighted to accept the nomination as Honorary Chairman of MECEC.
