Shangyu lies in the northeast of Zhejiang Province, it is 62Km from Ningbo to the east, 72 Km from Hangzhou to the west and 220km from Shanghai to the north. After the completion of Hangzhou Bay Cross Sea Bridge it will be only 130km from Shangyu to Shanghai. Shangyu has 21 towns with a population of 780,000 and connects many cities around the Shanghai Economic Region. Shangyu belongs to the Yangtze Delta—the most active economic area in China.
